Seventh Blog Post (Mar. 8)

This week, I’m planning on mostly practicing the songs I learned with my guitar teacher because I have to memorize them by this week. Unfortunately, I was behind my lessons, so I plan on working hard this time so that I could improve faster. I’m really sad because I know that if I worked harder, I could have improved my skills. I honestly don’t have much to say this time because nothing special happened besides practicing the songs, but one thing I learned was that learning an instrument needs constant practice and determination to master. This made me realize that musicians deserve all the respect they get because they go through the constant practice and difficulty into mastering the instrument. I really want to constantly learn the guitar because I know that with enough practice and time, I can be at the level I only dreamt of being. Also, until now, I backed away from all the instruments I learned such as violin or piano (still a little interested on piano though), so I really don’t want to quit the guitar either. But that’s not the only reason. The other reason is because it’s fun! The guitar was the only instrument until now that made me excited for lessons with my teacher and give me the feeling to learn more by myself. This is actually quite unusual because I never had the strong feeling of learning the guitar when I was younger, but I was interested in learning the electric guitar. Anyway, I hope that I never lose the feeling of wanting to delve more and more into the guitar world even though I start to get into harder lessons or if I can’t practice at times. Thank you!
